Compassion In Action Discipleship Training School (DTS)
Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 5-month intensive training course, which aims to equip and train students for a lifetime of Christ-centered service. The core theme of the school is: “To know God and make Him known.” During the school, students will learn more about who God is, His character, His nature, and His ways. Students will also learn more about their identity in Christ, God’s purpose for their lives and how to live out their faith in everyday life. The DTS takes place within the context of a real mission community with daily worship and prayer times. Each week students will hear from a different guest lecturer who is an expert in that topic. Students will also be placed into small groups, which are led by full time missionary staff, as well as meet one-on-one with their staff, weekly.
Discipleship Training School (DTS) consists of two phases: lecture and outreach. During the 12 week lecture phase, students learn about different aspects of the Christian life and missions. Classes are taught by other YWAM missionaries, pastors, and mature Christian leaders. Similar to a college setting, homework is assigned, books are read, and challenging discussions are experienced daily..
